About Grace
Grace Wilder has called Bemidji home for ten years. A Bemidji native at heart, she left for college and career before returning in late 2018 to put down roots for good. As a mother to a one-year-old still waiting on a daycare spot, a renter-turned-homeowner who has navigated Bemidji's housing landscape firsthand, and a transportation sharer, Grace understands the foundational challenges facing this community — not from a distance, but from lived experience. That's what drives her campaign for City Council Member At-Large: a deep, personal commitment to making Bemidji a better place to live for everyone.
Professionally, Grace serves as Digital Organizing Manager at HeadCount, a national nonpartisan organization dedicated to civic participation. She has worked in nonpartisan civic engagement since 2015 and in voter engagement at the national level since 2018. Her career reflects a lifelong dedication to democracy — from the grassroots up — and she brings that same energy and expertise to her vision for Bemidji's future.
In her community, Grace volunteers as a DJ at beloved local public radio station KAXE/KBXE, where her commitment to local voices and community connection shines. She is running on a platform rooted in equity, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and environmental stewardship — values she believes must guide every decision made at City Hall. On issues of childcare access, quality housing, and public transportation in particular, Grace is ready to get to work.
